NWHI RAMP 2004 Scientific Expedition
The NOAA ship Hi`ialakai completed a successful expedition in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands
from September 13, 2003 until October 16, 2004
to evaluate and map shallow water reef habitats. Reports and articles were posted on this expedition site.
goal of Navigating
Change is to motivate, encourage and
people to take action to improve the environmental conditions
in their own backyards, especially as it pertains to our
reef ecosystems. We want people to take responsibility for
the stewardship and sustainability of our islands and our
ocean. We are targeting our message to the youth of Hawai`i
because the future is in their hands. Classroom
